Started in 1982, Ocean State Forklifts began in a garage in Rhode Island with about six employees.  We grew quickly, and by 1984, we’d moved to our current location in Seekonk, MA (while still carrying the “Ocean State” name). Today, Ocean State Forklifts is a family-owned business run by Douglas O’Brien Jr. (son of Douglas O’Brien Sr., one of three original partners, who later became sole owner).
